Bedford Day Road Closures

On Saturday September 15 the Town of Bedford will be celebrating Bedford Day. This will result on some traffic delays and road closures.

DANNY OATES ROAD RACE

There will be a road race in the area of McMahon Road, Concord Road, Davis Road and some of the side roads within the Davis Road loop. Expect runners and police officers assisting with the race on these roadways between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM that morning. These roadways will still be open but please use caution while traveling.

BEDFORD DAY PARADE

At 9:30 AM Loomis Street between Webber Avenue and the Great Road will be shut down in preparation for the Bedford Day Parade. The parade is scheduled to step off at 10:30 AM. The Great Road from the Loomis & Great intersection heading North to the Great Road and Concord & North Road intersection will be shut down for the parade at 10:00 AM . The road will re-open when the parade ends on Mudge Way. The estimated time for the completion of the parade is 11:30 AM. Anticipate detours and delays during this time period.

BEDFORD DAY FAIR

The town will also be hosting the Bedford Day Fair on the town grounds, in the parking area between the Town Hall and the Police Station. Parking and motor vehicle entry into this area will be restricted from the early morning until the late afternoon. The scheduled events will take place rain or shine, unless there is severe weather.
