Annual Soul Food Community Supper – Rescheduled to February 15

soulfoodflyer_2013Bedford’s METCO program invites the community to attend its rescheduled annual Soul Food Community Supper at First Church of Christ, 25 The Great Road, on Friday, February 15, from 4 until 8 pm.

The event was originally scheduled for Friday, February 8, but was rescheduled because of an anticipated blizzard.

Adult dinners are $15 each and Youth/Child dinners are $10 each. All dinners include choice of one entrée (meat), two sides, a drink and dessert. Additional sides or desserts may be purchased for $2.00

Diners will choose one entrée: Golden Fried Chicken, Sweet & Tangy Barbecue Chicken, or Caribbean Style Stewed Chicken. Side Choices Include: Baked Macaroni & Cheese, Rice & Peas, Glorified Collard Greens, Deliciously Seasoned Green Beans, or Perfectly Candied Yams and Buttery Hot Corn Bread. For dessert, there will be the dinner’s Famous Homemade Sweet Potato Pie, or Homemade Pound Cake, or Homemade Red Velvet Cake.

Dinners will be available to enjoy their soul food in the company of others in the First Church dining room, or the dinners can be packed up to bring home.
