Committee assignments: Labor and Workers, Global Warming and Steering

Ken is thrilled to announce that the Speaker has assigned him to the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development.  A lawyer of 22 years who has specialized in workers’ rights for the last dozen years, he can apply his knowledge and experience for the good of the Commonwealth on that committee.

“I am thrilled and honored that the Speaker has entrusted me with the responsibilities inherent in this committee,” said Gordon. “I will use my very best efforts to stick up for working people in a fair, honest way, while not forgetting that small business is the engine that creates jobs for us all.”

Gordon is excited about his appointment to the Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change.  “Our environment is in crisis and we have to find a way to address the challenges that face us,” he said. “We will bring informed, insightful citizens before us to find some meaningful way to address these important issues.”

As part of the Steering Committee, Gordon will help shepherd bills through the House, including those that are brought by communities as Home Rule Petitions. “I’m looking forward to the hard work that goes with making sure that our bills all receive the consideration they are due,” he said.
