First Lady Michelle Obama presented the National Medal for Museum and Library Service to the Boston Children’s Museum in a White House ceremony on Wednesday, May 8.

Community member Tayquan Pomare-Taylor and Boston Children’s Museum President and CEO Carole Charnow of Bedford accepted the award.

The National Medal is the nation’s highest honor conferred on museums and libraries for service to the community and celebrates institutions that make a difference for individuals, families, and communities.
