A lot of Bedford residents were out and about on foot yesterday. The Bedford Minuteman Company walked from Wilson Park, and then led Concord’s Patriot’s Day parade, and 13 Bedford residents finished the Boston Marathon.
According to Bedford’s Police Chief Robert Bongiorno, “Bedford officers from the SWAT team, RRT (rapid response team), motor unit, (motorcycles), IMT (incident management) will be [were] on the ground for the Marathon.”
Congratulations to the Marathoners, Minutemen and NEMLEC officers who contributed to a memorable day. And, thank you to the BAA for making the runners’ results so easy to find.
