Between 9 am and 5 pm on Saturday, April 26, the Rotary Club of Bedford plans to package a staggering 120,000 meals to feed schoolchildren in Haiti.
Most of the 470 shifts needed to complete the task are filled, but there are still gaps (also known as opportunities for you to participate!)
- Set Up, from 8 to 9 AM needs 6 volunteers
- Meal Packaging, from 11:45 am until 2:15 pm needs 21 volunteers
- Meal Packaging, from 2:45 until 5:15 pm needs 40 volunteers
- Clean Up and Tear Down needs 1 volunteer to complete the team
Linda Cargiuolo, one of the project organizers, said “With so many people doing so much good in one place on Saturday, the positive karma they create will reflect well on Bedford and the participants.”

If last year’s event is any indication, it will be a great way to spend a couple of hours: Doing a good deed, and having fun working with the team. And since showers are forecast for Saturday, it might just be the best possible way to spend the day!
