The Bedford Arts & Crafts Society will hold its 15th Regional Art Exhibit on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 8 AM -4 PM in the Bedford Town Center Mudge Way (yellow building) and again on Bedford Day, September 20,2014 from 10:30 AM -3PM.

All artists, professional or non-professional, beyond high school age, may submit two pieces of creative artwork:  size may not exceed 30”x36” framed for artwork and sculpture may not exceed 36” in any direction or weigh more than 50 pounds.  All artwork submitted will be judged by a professional artist prior to the opening to the public on Friday.

Categories for entry are:

  • oil/ acrylic/ pastel,
  • watercolor,
  • drawing: pen & ink, charcoal and pencil,
  • sculpture / 3 dimensional: ceramics, stained glass, metal woodwork, basketry, fabric art, and needlepoint,
  • print: includes monotype, intaglio, lithography, and woodcut and
  • photography: includes film and digital.

There will be cash awards for the first and second prizes in each category and Best of Show. Three Honorable mentions in each category will also be awarded. The awards will be presented at 1 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2014, Bedford Day. All winners will be notified by phone prior to Saturday’s exhibition.

Fees: Members of the Bedford Arts& Crafts Society will pay an entry fee of $10.00 per item submitted and non-members will be charged a $12.00 entry fee. Artist’s work submitted can be sold (list your price) or registered as not for sale (NFS) .

Delivery: All entries for this Exhibition must be delivered  to the Town Center, second floor, on Thursday September 18th from 9:30 AM-12:30 PM. The building is also Handicapped accessible.
