Bedford TV was recently named the best PEG (Public Education and Government) channel in the country in its budget category by the Alliance for Community Media at the 2014 Hometown Video Awards in Philadelphia.  The Alliance for Community media is the leading advocacy group for PEG stations and community media centers nationwide and the organization hosts the awards as part of their annual conference.  This marks the third time that Bedford TV has won this prestigious award.  The award represents the hard work, talent, and dedication of the staff, board, and volunteers who make the organization the success that it is.

Bedford High School graduate and Bedford TV intern Dan Anderson was also honored at the Hometown Video Awards for his video “Soccer Trick Shots 2.”  He won the student award in the entertainment and arts category.  Dan first entered this video into Bedford TV’s monthly video contest and went on to become increasingly involved in the station, culminating with a summer internship where he and BHS student Sam Dushman produced a video celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Bedford’s Citizen Scholarship Foundation
