Over the last three weeks the Finance and Capital Expenditure Committees have welcomed several new members to their ranks.

This past Wednesday, September 24, the Capital Expenditure Committee welcomed new member Karen Dunn to the committee, bringing it to full strength.   Karen noted she was raised in Bedford, near the old Page School, and having returned to Bedford welcomes the opportunity to serve.

On Thursday, September 25t, the Finance Committee welcomed new member Paul Mortenson, also bringing it to full strength.  Paul noted he has been in town for a year, having moved up from Foxboro, where he previously served as a Selectman.  He said he respects the professionalism of the committee and looks forward to serving the town in this capacity.   At the previous Finance Committee meeting on September 11, the committee welcomed new member David Powell.   David noted he has lived in town 22 years, volunteered in many different capacities, and looks forward to serving on the committee.

Through the hard work of Bedford’s Volunteer Coordinating Committee https://www.bedfordma.gov/volunteer-coordinating-committee and the various appointing committees, positions continue to be filled with qualified and motivated candidates.  Residents interested in volunteering can find the questionnaire and related information on the town’s website at the link above.
