Looking for a new place to eat, but not sure where to go?  Maybe you’re just tired of the same ho-hum dinners. It could be time to search for some new tastes…or, if you will, Flavors of Bedford: an extravaganza of exciting ideas, and delicious food, featuring restaurants, in Bedford and the surrounding area.

The 14th Annual Flavors of Bedford to benefit community programs sponsored by the Bedford Chamber of Commerce runs from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 2. Tickets are $40/person and $30 for seniors, with discounts available for larger parties. Tickets are on sale at New England Nursery 216 Concord Road, Great Road Gallery & Framing 363 Great Road, Prince St Cafe & Bakery 200 Great Road or on line  at www.flavorsofbedford.org . Your ticket entitles you to tasting portions of a range of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts.  Coffee is provided free of charge; wine, beer, and mixed drinks can be purchased.

Flavors offers a chance to size up local Chefs, who come together to cook and serve up some of their best appetizers, entrees, and desserts in tasting portions. Guests go through the buffet lines and then relax at at tables where they can meet, greet, and eat in the company of friends, family, and foodies. The Bedford Bucappellas will add to the festivities with song and serenading.

Bedford attorney and amateur gastronomist Nat Brown says of the event, “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Town to get together, and an opportunity to meet the restaurateurs and food service people who work in the area.”

Key sponsor, Brown says he first began supporting Flavors of Bedford more years ago than he can remember.  “I felt that it was an opportunity to share with the Town and to help out financially in a community activity,” he says.  Brown, who dresses up for the occasion says whether you decide on formal wear or something more casual it’s a great night out and very worth the price of admission.

Director of the Bedford Chamber Maureen Sullivan says  “It’s always fun and exciting to see so many people come out to support us, and the food is just amazing.  The Chefs really do a great job.”

Flavors of Bedford is a major fundraiser for the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, a group that works to maintain and improve the quality of business and home life in Bedford.  A portion of the proceeds for Flavors will go to support Friends of Hanscom, a non-profit supporting the mission of Hanscom AFB, the quality of life of its assigned personnel and their families, as well as the military members in the greater New England region.

Premier sponsorship for Flavors of Bedford is provided by the Law Offices of Brown & Brown, P.C., and the Doubletree Bedford Glen Hotel.  Additional sponsorship is provided by Bedford Florist, DSA Printing, Brookline Bank, Summit Health and Fitness, The UPS Store, Middlesex Savings Bank, TD Bank, Lincoln Liquors (formally Genetti’s Wine & Spirit) Northrop Grumman, Cambridge Savings Bank, Great Road Gallery & Framing, Carlton & Duran, CPAs, The Higgins Group, Dr. Oscar DePriest, JRM Antiques, Representative Kenneth Gordon, Debbie Spencer, Baldwin Insurance, Hanscom Federal Credit Union and Salem Five.
