Carleton-Willard Village announces that staff member Marcelo Knapik has been named a 2014 Foundation Scholar by the Massachusetts Senior Care Foundation.
Each year the Foundation awards scholarships to support the professional development of those working in the long term care industry. Knapik, who is a Fitness Assistant in Carleton-Willard’s Aquatics and Fitness Center, will use his scholarship to complete his master’s degree in healthcare management at Cambridge College.
“We are so pleased that Marcello received this recognition. He is very dedicated to his profession and much loved by the residents at Carleton-Willard Village,” said Deb McNiven, Fitness Manager.
The Massachusetts Senior Care a Foundation, the educational and research arm of the a Massachusetts Senior Care Association, has awarded nearly $2.6 million in scholarships since it began supporting long term care workers in 1985. For more information, visit www.maseniorcarefoundation.org.
