John Glenn Middle School Department of Music and Theater Arts is proud to present one of the most beloved tales of our time, live on stage for one weekend only in April. This joyful production will feature sets, lighting, costumes, and choreography, not to mention 50 wonderfully talented youth. The musical’s director is Amy Budka; the assistant directors are Barbara Ferri and Jaime Smith; and the choreographer is Libbey Beinert.

The brainy and beautiful Belle yearns to escape her provincial life… and her brute of a suitor, Gaston. While trying to rescue her father, Belle becomes a captive in the Beast’s enchanted castle! Dancing flatware, menacing wolves, and singing furniture fill the stage with spectacle in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Join us for a beautiful fairy tale about two very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love.

Perfect for all ages, this show features the theme “Be Our Guest” and the poignant title song, “Beauty and the Beast,” plus new songs written especially for the stage version.

Performances are Thursday, April 9 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 10 – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 11 – 6:00 p.m at John Glenn Middle School Auditorium, 99 McMahon Road, Bedford, MA. Tickets are $10 and available now at JGMS, Lane and Davis school offices, Great Road Gallery, and Fetch-It.
