Long time Bedford baseball coach Peter Morello recently received the 2015 Bay State Distinguished Service Award from Bay State Baseball, one of Massachusetts’ premier youth summer baseball leagues. The plaque states “In appreciation for your dedication and contribution to Bay State Baseball Tournament of Champions and the advancement of youth baseball in Bedford.”

The Bedford Babe Ruth Baseball Board members congratulate Peter Morello on this well deserved honor.

“Peter has coached in Bedford for over two decades,” said Babe Ruth Commissioner Mark Sullivan. “His passion for baseball and his commitment to teaching the game to the youth in town is evident to all who have watched him on the diamond or have had the honor of playing for him. He has always stressed the fundamentals of baseball and playing the game with enthusiasm. He has been a priceless resource to younger coaches and has always made the players his number one priority.”
