The Friends of Bedford Depot Park, the Bedford Historical Society and the Bedford Minuteman Company are jointly sponsoring a holiday sale at the Freight House at Depot Park, 120 South Road, on Saturday, November 28, from 10 am until 5 pm. Visitors can enjoy seeing the Budd Car RDC 6211 with its many interesting displays and the model railroad in the Freight House while shopping for Bedford history-related items offered at special prices by the sponsors.
Saturday after Thanksgiving is recognized as “Small Business Saturday” to encourage shoppers to support their local stores. All merchandise sold at the Freight House on that day will be discounted by 10% by the three local non-profit organizations. Visitors will find a wide variety of Bedford-related merchandise that is sold by the sponsors – Bedford Flags, T shirts, caps and other apparel, books and maps, ceramic mugs, tree ornaments, DVDs, toys and much more.
Visitors can also enjoy free coffee on that day while browsing around the Freight House and Budd Car.
