The 2016 Luminary Sale to benefit the Bedford Minuteman Company’s Memorial Scholarship Fund has begun. The sale will last until all the luminary kits are sold, so early purchases are encouraged.
Kits that include everything you need are available at $15 each at Chip-In-Farm on Hartwell Road, or from any member of the Bedford Minuteman Company. Each kit contains 12 candles, 12 bags and 10 pounds of sand. The proceeds from the sale of the Luminaria benefits the Bedford Minuteman Memorial Scholarship Fund which awards a scholarship each year to a deserving high school senior who lives in Bedford.
Using the Bedford Minuteman Company’s Luminaria to light paths at homes and in public spaces creates a magical atmosphere for the holidays. The Minuteman Company illuminates the Historic District and Bedford Common on Christmas Eve, with neighborhoods throughout the town invited to join in. Imagine how welcoming and lovely your homes will look with luminaries along your road, and lighting the way to your door.

Luminary Sales chairman Paul Ciacca reminds the community that donations are tax deductible, “Our efforts would not be successful without you,” he said. “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
