Many months ago, the Bedford Family Connection (BFC) applied to Whole Foods Market’s community giving program, and was chosen as the recipient of a ‘5% Day’ where five percent of the store’s net profit for a given day are donated to the organization.

Whole Foods Market’s Bedford Team Leader Todd Johnson delivered a check for $4,051.20 to the Bedford Family Connection holiday party on Saturday. Johnson noted that few organizations are as committed to the program as BFC, and their spirit along with BFC’s strong community connections explain the generous donation.

In addition to the excitement of the Whole Foods Market award ceremony, scores of children and their parents created crafts, enjoyed snacks and sang along with Sarah Gardner during the annual party.
