Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Bedford Garden Club’s annual sale of geraniums, perennials, edibles, hanging plants and fresh cut flower arrangements is planned for Saturday, May 7th in front of the Bedford DPW Building, 314 The Great Road.
Starting at 10 am, the sale will offer floral arrangements in three sizes that are great gifts for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8th. Also to be sold are hundreds of the most popular colors of geraniums (red, white, pink, hot pink, and coral) as well as perennials donated from the yards of Garden Club members – all to raise funds for the Club’s civic activities and scholarship program.
Because the hanging baskets were so popular last year, the Club has increased the number for sale this year; there will be plenty of colors and varieties available.
A new sale item will be herb groupings planted in decorative ceramic pots. Other herbs will be sold individually.
This event is the Garden Club’s big fundraiser for the year, and will be held rain or shine from 10 am – 3 pm. Sale coordinators are Carol Amick and Maureen Levine.
