Bedford Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect

Chief Robert Bongiorno reports that the Bedford Police Department is actively searching for a man who robbed a bank in town on Monday evening, August 22.

At 6:40 p.m., police responded to the Citizens Bank inside Stop and Shop, 337 The Great Road, for a report of a bank robbery.

Upon their arrival, police learned that a man passed a note to the teller demanding money. He then fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white, bald man, who has tattoos on his left arm. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a Patriots jersey with the number 87 on it and a wedding ring.

The suspect also fits the description of a man who robbed a bank in Salem, N.H. on Aug. 18.
