Active Shooter Training Drill at the Bedford VA on Saturday, October 22

us-department-of-veterans-affairsThe Bedford VA Police, in collaboration with police and first responders from Bedford and surrounding towns will conducts an active shooter drill in Building 9 and the hospital’s bus stop, at 200 Springs Road from 9 am until noon on Saturday, October 22.

Participants from Bedford, Billerica police departments and Northeast Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) along with Bedford Fire and Rescue will be on site. There will also be several actors from Middlesex Community College, and several clearly identified safety officers.

Please be aware there will be Officers from multiple Law Enforcement Agencies displaying firearms, but  NO live ammunition will be utilized during the exercise.  Blank ammunition creates a noise similar to that of a live round being fired, but does not discharge any bullet.
