The Sports Scholars is Bedford TV’s flagship sports show and covers all sports, but pays particular attention to professional and fantasy football.  Mike also holds the unofficial Bedford TV record for most appearances on different shows: he’s been a guest on numerous shows including the Wrestling Kennection and the Bedford TV News where he filled in at the sports desk.  The Sports Scholars will be on hiatus while Mike is away at college, but will return when Mike gets back.

Mike was also an integral part of the first ever Bedford TV studio marathon in August.  Bedford TV went live at 11 am that day and didn’t go off the air until midnight.  Mike hosted a number of shows that day and also helped behind the scenes with crew and logistics.

Wayne Braverman is an experienced journalist and his experience in that field has made him a natural host and interviewer for his program Celebrate Life.  He has had a number of fascinating guests including those he had for his compelling September shows.  The first show featured Lei Wang: the first Chinese American woman to climb all Seven Summits and to ski the North and South Poles.  The second show told the story of Andrew Zupkus, a former student at Davis School, whose integration into a mainstream program was a watershed moment for the special education program in Bedford.

Both Mike and Wayne are examples of Bedford residents who took their interests and talents and used them to create unique and engaging local television programming.  It was with great pleasure that we presented Mike and Wayne with gift cards from Bedford TV Community Partner Red Heat Tavern to recognize their exceptional service to the station.

If you have an interesting story to tell or a show that you’ve always wanted to film, Bedford TV would love to hear from you and help make your vision a reality.  Email [email protected] for more information.
