I am writing to voice my support for Sarita Pillai for Library Trustee. Through volunteer work for a local Indian cultural event, I know Sarita to be passionate about anything she takes on. She is a very organized and detail-oriented person who gives of her time to both school and community activities on a regular basis. We have many mutual family friends, as do our children, and I know Sarita and her family to be warm and caring Bedford community members.
Sarita’s impressive background in technology and her work in the field of education for the last 15 years will make her an excellent asset to the library and its great future. As with most families in town, the library is a hub for me and my family, instilling a love of reading in my children and offering me opportunities to supplement the excellent education my children receive in our schools.
While I know Sarita will have many expert insights to offer as a Trustee, I know she will always be respectful of other opinions and perspectives. She is an excellent collaborator and consensus builder and will work hard to ensure the voices of all Bedford residents are heard as the library deals with day to day business while also planning for the future. She also has a very warm and welcoming personality and an ability to influence decisions in an amicable fashion.
Sarita’s passion, energy, and perseverance coupled with her extensive experience in the field of education makes her a strong candidate. I am thrilled to support her and I encourage Bedford voters to come out on March 11 and secure her position as our next Library Trustee!
