Topics of Interest at Bedford Board and Committee Meetings – Week of March 13, 2017

The Selectmen will welcome newly-elected and returning members of the board and reorganize, choosing officers for the upcoming year. They will receive an update on the Great Road Master Plan design. Hearings will be held for an Aquifer Protection Special Permit for 15 Crosby Drive and for an underground conduit on Hartwell Road.

The Fiscal Planning & Coordinating Committee will review financial reports in preparation for Town Meeting.

On Tuesday night the Library Trustees will welcome new members, review FY18 budgets and review web statistics.The School Committee will hear a report by the Religious and Cultural Holidays Task Force and prepare for their upcoming strategic Planning process.The Planning Board will reorganize following town elections, make final Town Meeting preparations and will get a briefing on the results from the Great Road Business Zoning workshop.

On Wednesday the Depot Park Advisory Committee will review bids from Freight House decking. They will also review snowplowing bills and pending Facilities items.

Thursday the Finance Committee will meet and the Energy Task Force will review projects, including Net Zero, SolSmart program, Community Aggregation, and the Energy Policy and Guidelines Document,
