Winter Storm Stella is History

Compiled by The Bedford Citizen

With sleet and rain, Winter Storm Stella ended late this afternoon with snow totals far below the predicted 12-18 inches that the National Weather Forcast predicted.

The storm’s ferocious winds downed branches and power lines. The Bedford Police tweeted about downed trees on The Great Road at Mudge Way shortly after noon, and on Paul Revere Road around 5 pm. Although there were downed limbs and wires on Paul Revere, residents did not lose electricity. The Great Road has reopened, but Paul Revere remained closed at 6 pm.

At the height of the storm, Eversource reported several hundred homes without electricity; at 6:30 pm the number was reduced to 24.
