Per a long-standing tradition, the Bedford Flag — an exact copy of the flag carried into battle by Cornet Nathaniel Page at North Bridge on April 19, 1775 — leads Concord’s Patriot’s Day parade,

The men and women of Bedford’s Minuteman Company headed to Concord on Monday morning, departing Willson Park on foot at 6 am. The morning’s bright sun and high humidity combined with the Company’s heavy uniforms made this year’s march a fairly steamy exercise.

The Bedford Flag traveled in style, however, encased in a bespoke velvet bag lashed behind the seat of Cornet Seth Cargiuolo’s motorcycle.
