Volunteers Needed on Town Committees

Submitted by Bedford’s Volunteer Coordinating Committee

The Town of Bedford is always looking for volunteers to help on town committees. Currently there are a number of openings, and throughout the year new openings pop up and we’d love to have a nice pipeline of names of interested residents. So, if you are thinking about helping out, we encourage you to attend a meeting or two and fill out a questionnaire for the committee in which you are interested and submit it so that we can keep you posted.

All meetings are open to Bedford residents and schedules are on the town website. If you are unsure and would like to talk to someone, feel free to reach out to the Chair or member of your chosen committee or any member of the Bedford Volunteer Coordinating Committee. Contact info is also on the town website.

Current openings for which we are actively looking for volunteers:

  • Arbor Resources
  • Cable TV Committee
  • Capital Expenditures Committee
  • Community Preservation Committee
  • Council of the Aging
  • Finance Committee
  • Historic District Commission – Alternate
  • Historic Preservation Commission
  • Transportation Advisory Committee
  • Zoning Board of Appeals – Associate

A full list of all committees is available on the Town website www.bedfordma.gov as is information about each committee.

Residents interested in applying should contact members of the Volunteer Coordinating Committee at https://www.bedfordma.gov/volunteer-coordinating-committee and filling out a Volunteer Questionnaire for one or more position.  Questionnaires are also available from the Town Manager’s office at Town Hall.
