It was opposites day at Bedford TV. Show hosts moved behind the scenes  and the crew moved in front of the camera to take a turn being the on  air talent.

At the first monthly Meetup at Bedford TV on Tuesday, June  13th, members gathered at the studio and experienced first-hand a very  different side of their usual Roles. The goal of the Meetup is to provide a venue for Bedford TV volunteers  (hosts and crew) to network and learn new skills.

“We have so many  talented volunteers and they don¹t always get a chance to work  together” explained Greg Dolan, Executive Director of Bedford TV. “The  meet up was great because it brought everyone together, put them a  little out of their comfort zone, and let them learn new skills while  having fun.”

Linda Ugelow, host of Women Inspired said “What a fun and hilarious  meetup we had at Bedford TV. Unbeknownst to us volunteers and show  hosts, a plan had been concocted for us to mix up our roles. Those of  us show hosts learned how to sound check and run the switching boards;  those volunteers in the control room got to “play” news or weather  anchor. I loved getting to meet the other people involved at the  station while getting an introduction to TV production.”

The next meetup is scheduled for Tuesday, July 18th from 6pm-7:30pm.
