Town Government at Work for the Week of October 9, 2017

All Town offices are closed on Monday, October 9, for the celebration of Columbus Day, and Trash/Recycling collection is delayed until Tuesday. Multiple board and committee meetings are scheduled later in the week.

On Tuesday, October 10 the Planning Board will hear a Net Zero presentation regarding Article 2 of the Warrant for Special Town Meeting on November 6. Also on Tuesday evening, the School Committee will hear a presentation on the Bridge Program and a report on class size. The School Committee meets in the LRI – the large instruction room on the second floor of Bedford High School. Meeting at Town Hall, the Arbor Resources Committee will hear an update on the Lane School Project, make Arbor Day plans and discuss North Road intersection options.

On Wednesday, October 11, the Conservation Commission will continue a hearing on the Davis Road Boardwalk. At 7 pm, the Recreation Commission will continue discussion of Springs Brook Park and hear updates on various programs. They meet in the Flint Room at Town Center.  The Capital Expenditure Committee will hear capital requests from the Police and Fire Department at Town Hall.

On Thursday, October 12, the Zoning Board of Appeals will continue hearings on three requests to demolish existing houses and build larger ones on nonconforming lots.The Energy Task Force and Finance Committee will also meet that evening.
