Bedford TV held their Annual Meeting and Awards Party on Friday, November 17, 2019. The event, held in the Great Room at Old Town Hall, was a celebration to recognize the many volunteers that help out at the station. This red-carpet event brought the whole Bedford TV community together, both young and old(er!), from the people you see on TV, to the people behind the scenes. These awards were all about celebrating and appreciating the hard work of the many volunteers involved with the station.

The awards presented this year were:

  • Joe Serra Most Valuable Crew Member — Ann Seamans
  • Best Musical Performance – Stacy & the Party
  • Best Solo Host – Wayne Braverman, Celebrate Life
  • Viewer’s Choice — The Legal Edition
  • Fish Out Of Water — Mike Mahoney
  • Most Viral — Emi McSwain, Bedford Day Performance
  • Best Ensemble Cast – The Bedford TV News
  • Most Surreal Moment — Ken Hill, The Wrestling Kennection: Golddust
  • Rookie of the Year – Christoph Kershaw
  • Actor/Actress – Film Noir Project: Evan Karen & Christoph Kershaw
  • Episode of the Year – Celebrate Life: A Story of Love, Joy & Happiness
  • Red Heat Tavern Volunteer of the Month – John Kienzle
  • Red Heat Tavern Volunteer of the Year – Steve McMahon

Ann Seamans, winner of the most valuable crew member award, said that the awards night party was “worthy of a station that has won awards for best station in the country!”

Bedford TV Board President and volunteer, Julie Turner was recognized as Volunteer of the Decade, as she ended her tenure on the board. Gretchen Kind lauded her Turner’s 12 years on the board and presented her with a service recognition award.
