Boys, Girls Indoor Track Take Wins Over Waltham Into the Holiday Break

On the eve of the Winter Solstice, Bedford’s Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams won over Waltham.  Both teams are undefeated for the season.

Bedford Girls indoor track beat Waltham 56-40 anchor by a core of Freshman and Sophomores. The top performers were :
  • Freshman Mina Bostwick – 1st in the 55m dash (8.19) and 2nd in long jump (15’2.25″)
  • Sophomore Gabby Fournier – 1st in the mile (6:11.20, personal best), and ran as part of winning 4x400m relay (4:50.21)
  • Sophomore Anna Broyard – 1st in 1000m (3:28.08, personal best) and ran as part of winning 4x400m relay (4:50.21)
    Sophomore Madeline Broyard – 1st in 2 Mile (13:18.59), and ran as part of winning 4x400m relay (4:50.21)
  • Junior Briannah Pereira – 1st in the 600m (1:52.04) and 3rd in the 55m hurdles (10.66)
    Senior Maria Ou – 1st in 55m hurdles (9.99, personal best) and 3rd in Long Jump (14’8.5″)
    Senior Sasha Samarov – 1st in the Long Jump (15’5.5″, personal best)
The Boys team beat Waltham 63-36 for second win of the season. Junior Jasper Shapiro’s time in the One Mile automatically qualified him for D-IV championship. The top performers were:
  • Junior Jasper Shapiro – 1st in the Mile (4:44.25) and part of the winning 4x400m relay (3:50.28, season’s best for team)
  • Junior Brenden Spaulding – 2nd in the high jump (5’4″), 2nd place in the 55m hurdles (9.76, personal best), and ran as part of the winning 4x200m relay (1:42.94, season’s best for team)
  • Senior Nolan Holley – 1st in long jump (18’8″, personal best), 2nd in the 300m (38.91, personal best), and ran as part of the winning 4x400m relay (3:50.28, season’s best for team)
  •  Senior Jerry Liao – 1st in the shot put (37’9″) and ran as part of the winning 4x200m relay (1:42.94, season’s best for team)
  •  Senior Ethan Harbour – 1st in the 1000m (3:00.07, personal best) and ran as part of the winning 4x400m relay (3:50.28, season’s best for team)
  •  Senior Joey Robinson – 1st in the 2 mile (11:13.57)
