METCO Soul Food Dinner: An Annual Community Supper – February 9, from 4 to 8 pm

Everyone in Bedford is invited to enjoy the Bedford METCO program’s Soul Food Dinner, from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, February 9, with a snow date of Friday, February 16. The community supper fundraiser will be held in Fellowship Hall at the First Church of Christ, 25 The Great Road.

Dinners for adults are $17 each, with children’s portions at $12. You can order your meal ahead of time, with the option of dining in Fellowship Hall or having your meal pre-packed for take-out. To pre-order your dinner, call the Bedford METCO office, 781-275-1700 x 3247.

Each meal includes a choice of one entrée with hot cornbread, two sides, a drink, and dessert. Additional sides or desserts may be purchased.

  • Entrées (choose 1): Golden Fried Chicken, Sweet & Tangy Barbecue Chicken, or Caribbean-Style Stewed Chicken – each entree includes a piece of buttery hot Corn Bread
  • Sides (choose 2): Baked Macaroni & Cheese, Rice & Peas, Glorified Collard Greens, Deliciously Seasoned Green Beans, Potato Salad, or Perfectly Candied Yams
  • Dessert (choose 1): Famous Homemade Sweet Potato Pie, Homemade Pound Cake, or Homemade Red Velvet Cupcakes

The Soul Food Dinner is home-cooked by parents and served by students. proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Bedford METCO Program
