Bedford Embraces Diversity will host its second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast beginning at 9:30 am (doors open at 9 am) on Monday, January 15, at the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 25 The Great Road. Click this link to view or print the poster
Last year’s event sold out, so reservations are required by emailing [email protected] or calling 781-983-1763.
Admission is $5, payable at the door. A light breakfast will be served.
Bedford Embraces Diversity’s board members are excited about the event, which manifests the group’s mission of “increasing awareness and understanding of community diversity.” The program features testimony from four Bedford High School METCO alumni from the 90’s and an interview of 3-4 recent BHS METCO graduates currently in college. Music will be provided by one of the region’s premier Gospel soloists.
There also will be opportunities to take part in or listen to facilitated dialogue amongst the audience on meeting the challenges of understanding and appreciating Dr. King’s values and principles in today’s United States.
We hope you will join us!
