Held this year in early February, the 2018 METCO soul food dinner gave scores of Bedford families either dinner in the company of friends, or extraordinary take-out – Chicken (fried, barbecued, or stewed) with a selection of sides from collards to mac and cheese, followed by sweet potato pie or a red velvet cupcake. While some families hurried home to watch the Olympics, others walked over to the High School to watch the girls basketball team celebrate Senior Night.
