“Loving the Climate” – Activists Visit the State House on Valentine’s Day

Is there a better way to show our love for our children than to lobby for a livable climate?

Bedford resident and Mothers Out Front member Sue Swanson along with ten other constituents who met with Sam Anderson, counsel to Senator Michael Barrett, to express support for the energy bill and also for Senator Barrett, who is on medical leave.

They were part of the group of 100 Massachusetts residents who showed up at the State House on Valentine’s Day.

Mass Power Forward, a coalition of 150 environmental and climate-related organizations, organized the event to promote key bills that will better enable Massachusetts to meet its goals to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050 or before.

The newly released Senate Omnibus Energy Bill includes many of these initiatives.
