Preparation for Town Meeting is central to this week’s work of Bedford’s boards and committees.

The Fiscal Planning & Coordinating Committee Agenda will meet Monday night at 6:30, to review the projected finances of the town expected by the Town Meeting action and the Davis School Project

The Selectmen will open their meeting with the annual tax classification hearing, the final step in setting Bedford’s tax rate.  The Selectmen’s agenda also includes several zoning changes that will appear on the warrant for March town meeting. Two are zoning changes for the Pine Hill Overlay District, previously known as Coast Guard Housing. Three other zoning changes come from the Great Road Rezoning study. (For a draft of the proposal see: https://www.bedfordma.gov/sites/bedfordma/files/news/grzp_draft_5-for_final_editing_of_related_warrant_articles.pdf.)

The School Committee will meet Tuesday, February 13 for a school budget hearing. They will also hear a presentation on the JGMS civics program and discuss the Lane School playground changes.

The Library Trustees will also meet on Tuesday to reflect on their budget meeting with the Finance Committee, and to hear an update on the proposed town museum.
