Unofficially, all the candidates on the ballot have been elected.

Without final results or credible write-in challenges, it can be assumed that each and all of the candidates on Bedford’s 2018 town election ballot won their bids for reelection.

The Citizen will be watching for the official results and post them as soon as they are available.

It was a lightly attended election. Responding to a question about why voters should come to the polls when all the candidates are unopposed incumbents, a voter was heard to say that her vote was being cast out of respect for the process, and for the candidates who serve the Town. Hooray for that voter!

The candidates who returned to the polling place to see the machine tapes posted were officially sworn into their new positions by Town Clerk Doreen Tremblay.
