Drive and Drop Recycling Event at Bedford CoA on Thursday, April 19

The Council on Aging and the Department of Public Works will host a “Drive and Drop” Recycling Event on Thursday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Town Center Building on 12 Mudge Way. The event is open to all Bedford residents.

A variety of goods will be welcome:

  • The Council on Aging will collect cleaned durable medical equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, etc., unopened packages of bed chux; medical gloves and incontinence products; and watches and jewelry.
  • Recycle That will be accepting clothing, accessories (belts, purses, etc.) household textiles like tablecloths, towels and drapes, shoes, and stuffed animals. Textiles can be stained, worn or torn but they should be dry. The company is also collecting books, CDs, and DVDs.
  • For the benefit of Mission of Deeds in Reading, small household appliances in working condition, as well as pots and pans, will be collected. Mission of Deeds provides basic home essentials to families and individuals in need in Middlesex and Essex Counties.
