The First Parish Plant and Craft Fair, a spring-time tradition has been taking root on Bedford Common for the past 65 years. The 2018 edition will take place from 10 am until 3 pm on Saturday, May 19, rain or shine. The fair’s snow date is Sunday, May 20, from noon to 3 pm.
There will be plants — hearty annuals grown by local suppliers will share pride of place with heritage perennials from parishioners’ gardens, and there will be veggies and herbs — crafts, lunch, live music, the 4H Petting Zoo from Chip-in Farm, and fun for the family.
Several of the artisans displaying their work in the craft area are rooted in Bedford, the delights at the bake sale are locally baked and sold by the kids in the religious ed program. Red Heat’s food truck will provide lunch and is Bedford’s own.
On May 19th make some time to revel in Bedford’s own particular rite of spring.
