May 10th marked the 6th Annual Bedford Children’s Center art show which is the culmination of the three-month curriculum theme study across the school. This year’s theme study was eras where each classroom studied and did projects based on their assigned eras such as the space age, medieval age, ancient times, modern times and the prehistoric era.

“Regardless of age, art is great for children from sensory work, imagination and discovery,” said Daisy Girifalco, owner of BCC. This event brings together the BCC community during the two-hour open house where the kids of all ages show off their work to their families. This year about 70 family members attended the event to the joy of the kids.

Preschool has a pyramid the kids play in, a Great Wall of China and a trojan horse all that they made! Pre-K made a time capsule that they buried on the property and talked about things may change in the future.

“Our team went all out with the kids as they always do for this event,” said Heather Drummond, Program Director. “They never cease to amaze us what projects they do with the kids and the pride that even the littlest ones take in their work”.
