Savannah Fox Tree-McGrath to Compete in NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship

Roger Williams University Women’s Track & Field junior Savannah Fox Tree-McGrath has qualified for the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the High Jump and the Javelin Throw.

Fox Tree-McGrath becomes the first Roger Williams Track & Field athlete in program history to qualify for the NCAA Championship.

She earned her berth to nationals with her height of 5′ 5.75″ in the High Jump at the Last Chance Meet at MIT, breaking her own school record in the event. Her mark places her in a tie for 16th nationally.

In the Javelin Throw, Fox Tree-McGrath threw for a distance of 136′ 6″ at the New England Championship, also notching a new school record in the process. That mark places her 20th among all NCAA Division III athletes.

Fox Tree-McGrath will compete at the NCAA Championship beginning on Thursday, May 24.
