Due to the great response to their first free events in May, they’ve decided to offer a special “back to school” class especially geared toward teens girls ages 16-21. This one-night event will include simple self-defense techniques and important safety tips specific to this age group, such as living on a college campus.
“We were thrilled with the turn out in the spring,” says Jennifer Buckley, “and we hope to see many young women on August 8. This is a very worthwhile and empowering 2 hours!”
This summer marks the third year that Winnie and Jennifer have co-taught this unique class that combines straightforward techniques but also addresses the challenges women and girls face regarding personal safety, physical confidence, and positive body image. As a martial arts professional with over 20 years of experience and as a 5th Degree Black Belt, Winnie Callahan has extensive self-defense experience. Jennifer Buckley is a current Callahan’s student, a 1st Degree Black Belt, and a part of Callahan’s Leadership Team.
