BWH logoSuperintendent of Schools Jon Sills asked the School Committee to accept a gift of 19 17-inch computer monitors from Boston’s Brigham and Women’s hospital. The donation was facilitated by Bedford resident William Fair who is the Manager of Systems and Programming in the Provider Services Department at the hospital.

According to David Coelho, Finance Director of Bedford Public Schools, the monitors were determined to be surplus following a recent hospital computer replacement initiative. Before recommending that the School Committee consider accepting the donation, the monitors were evaluated and deemed to be in good shape by Bedford School’s computer department.

The School Committee was enthusiastic in its unanimous approval of the donation.
