The Bedford Department of Public Works will host the fall recycling event for Bedford residents on Saturday, October 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the DPW facility at 314 Great Road.
There will be two containers on site for rigid plastics and scrap metal. The DPW staff will be there to assist residents.
The other materials being collected that day are: fire extinguishers, propane tanks, tires (cars, SUVs, light trucks), fluorescent lamps, mercury containing items (e.g. thermometers and thermostats), and sealed lead-acid batteries and rechargeable batteries (NiCd, NiMH, Lithium).
Back by popular demand will be on-site paper shredding. Bedford residents will be limited to five boxes of documents and they’ll be able to watch their papers get destroyed.
Any questions, please email Ed McGrath, Recycling Coordinator, at email@example.com.
