Dozens of voters were turned away at last week’s candidates’ forum sponsored by the Leagues of Women Voters in Concord-Carlisle, Lexington and Sudbury with assistance from the Bedford, Chelmsford, Waltham and Weston Leagues. Anyone without a seat was asked to leave the room before the program began.

Interest in the forum was high because all of the Republican and Democratic primary candidates seeking to replace Susan Fargo as the 3rd Middlesex State Senator were present. (To learn more about the individual candidates, visit The Citizen’s 2012 Elections page.)

The program was recorded by Concord-Carlisle Cable TV and can be seen by both Comcast and Verizon subscribers on Bedford TV, thanks to the special trip that Madeleine Altman, Bedford TV’s Executive Director, made to retrieve the DVD from Concord lest it get lost in the mail.

You can watch the 3rd Middlesex Senate candidates’ forum on Bedford TV (simulcast on Comcast Channel 99 and Verizon Channel 40) on the following dates:

  • Thursday, August 23 at 9 pm
  • Saturday, August 25 at 5:30 pm
  • Friday, August 31 at 6 pm
  • Saturday, September 1 at 9 pm
  • Tuesday, September 4 at 7:30 pm

As soon as additional broadcasts are scheduled, The Citizen will announce them, or you can check www.bedford.tv after [insert date]for the schedule.
