At the Planning Board meeting on Wednesday August 1, the Planning Office made known its policy for posting and emailing development plans. Saying that highly controversial plans might also be posted on the website https://www.bedfordma.gov/index.php/planning-home , Planning Director Garber said that his office is happy to email PDF files of plans that have not been posted when a resident requests them.

According to Garber, posting plans to the website requires several more steps than emailing, as well as coordination with technical support. Posting will therefore be kept to an “as needed” basis, based on the level of public interest.

The information emailed to residents will be limited to plans sets, rather than multiple page documents, such as plumbing or electrical specifications that must be scanned in order to be transmitted electronically.
