The Congregational Church had a chorus group for many years. The leader was quite dynamic. We learned many things from her about music and singing…and it was FREE! It would be great if one of the local church organist/pianist would start a chorus group and open the church doors for the rehearsals, and have one or two concerts a year. Why must everything cost money? The only thing that is FREE now is air. That is until someone finds a way to charge for breathing. I can understand and accept charging for the cost of ordering or copying the music. But, to pay so I can be allowed to sing? There are many people in Bedford with lovely singing voices, can read music, love to sing and will be committed to the chorus. Please, let us have some things that are FUN AND FREE. Also, as a retiree, it is very nice to be around a wide age group. Another thing, once a person has retired, our funds are limited and there are many things that we want to do, but cannot afford it.
