The Lexington Bedford Hanscom Junior Midget Cheer squad won first place at the New England Pop Warner Regional event in Springfield, Mass.
The 11-member squad which ranges in age from 10 to 13 years old performed a stellar two and a half minute routine in front of a crowd that was in excess of 1,000 people.
This is the first time in seven years that the LBH Raiders Cheer program has brought a squad to the regional event. Winning the event made the team eligible to compete in the National Pop Warner Championships held December 1st through 8th at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Pop Warner is a fantastic football and cheer program that teaches the values of teamwork, fair play, competition and the importance of schoolwork. We are very proud of all the girls for putting in the hard work necessary to get to nationals!
Congratulations to Megan Brand, Ashton Carmichael, Elizabeth Foley, Tamerah Lyles, Marja Hubbard, Isabella Panagiotou, Lily Patterson, Emmi Raivisto, Katelin Rooney, Marissa Vitale, and Melanie Weber. The girls are coached by Karen Sullivan, Lori Vitale, and McKenna Petri.
