Senior Lady Bucs Olivia Jameson and Marissa Cammarano have signaled their college intents

Two outstanding young women have signaled their college intentions:

Olivia Jameson to attend Yale

Olivia Jameson holds Bedford High School swimming records in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 individual medley.  She is part of the record-setting 400 freestyle relay team.  She is also the Dual County League record-holder in the 500 freestyle, and in USA Swimming qualified for Junior Nationals and Senior Nationals in the 200 yard backstroke. She is a two-time Scholastic All-American, and ranks in the Top Ten in New England in six individual events, including second in the 200 meter backstroke.  She also holds 16 individual club records for North Shore Swim Club.Shifting the focus from sports and onto academics, Olivia has a 4.3 unweighted (6.0 weighted) GPA, and ranks in the top 2% of the senior class, while carrying six majors her sophomore through senior years.

3-sport athlete Marissa Cammarano to attend Post University

Senior Marissa Cammarano, a 3-sport varsity athlete (softball, basketball, and soccer), has signed her letter of intent to play softball next year at Post University in Waterbury, CT.

Marissa’s softball stats for the 2012 Bedford High Season were impressive: Her batting average was .548, she got on base .598 of the time, and her slugging percentae is .767. During the 2012 Bedford High softball season, Marissa had a 25-game hitting streak (2011-2012) with 117 regular season at-bats without a strikeout (2012), and she scored a run in every game of the 2012 season (active 21 game streak).

Last summer she played in the Bay State Games, as the starting shortstop on the undefeated (6-0) Northeast Gold Medal winning softball team. Named this year as both a Dual County League All-Star and a Lowell Sun All-Star, Melissa will be Captain the 2013 softball team.
