Bedford’s History Update: The Bedford Minutemen

Bedford’s original Minutemen gathered at the Fitch Tavern, then operated by Jeremiah Fitch, before they marched off to the Battle of Concord on April 19, 1775. The Fitch Tavern still stands on the Great Road, opposite the police station.
