If you can’t make it down to the Big Easy and Bourbon Street for Mardi Gras this year, the Ken Gordon campaign is hosting a New Orleans style bash at the Boardroom Bistro, 54 Middlesex Turnpike in Bedford, Saturday March 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

This event was originally scheduled for February 9 and was cancelled on account of the blizzard.

Dance to the blues sounds of the Porch Rockers, led by Bedford’s own Tim Gartland.  Dine on Cajun fare cooked up by the Boardroom chefs with help from recipes by Ken’s wife Breena Daniell.   Costumes are optional and Mardi Gras beads will be plentiful.  The hosts are seeking a minimum donation of $35 per person, which includes everything but the bar. Click here to print a copy of the invitation.

You must respond to the campaign quickly, as the event is filling up fast. Please email [email protected], or call her at 617-909-0535.  You can follow with a check to the Gordon Campaign, P.O. Box 159, Burlington, MA 01803.

Ken became the first Bedford resident in almost 40 years to be elected to Beacon Hill last November, when he became our State Representative, succeeding Charley Murphy.  He has been hard at work for Bedford, Burlington and Wilmington since he was sworn into office in January.  Among the first bills he filed was a proposed amendment to the school financing laws that will make permanent Bedford’s right to funding for the children of military families who live at Hanscom Field.
