This house at 109 Old Billerica Road was built around 1800 for David Fitch, Jr., its original owner.

A miller, he was third of four generations of Fitches to run the nearby gristmill on the Shawsheen River. From 1927 to 1946 this house was a nursing home operated by the Frances E. Willard Settlement. It is currently owned by Carleton-Willard Village and is used as a guest house for visitors to their retirement community.
